About Calculators Money
Free financial calculators with the math explained — not just a number.
Calculators Money is a free set of financial calculators — compound interest, dividends, loan and financing payments, the Rule of 72, and more — built with one simple difference: the math is always explained. Every tool shows you the formula behind the result, the assumptions it uses, and a plain-language walkthrough so you can understand and trust the number you get.
Why we built this
Most calculators on the web give you a single figure and nothing else. You type some numbers in, a result pops out, and you're left wondering how it got there or whether it even applies to your situation. We think that's the wrong way around. Money decisions deserve transparency. So on every page we show the formula, spell out the assumptions, and explain the reasoning in clear terms — so you can understand the result, check it yourself, and learn a little finance along the way.
How each calculator is built
Our calculators are built on established financial formulas — future value and present value, annuities, loan amortization, growth rates, and similar well-known methods used by finance professionals everywhere. Nothing is invented.
- Transparent assumptions. Every rate, period, and input is something you set and adjust. We don't pre-fill country-specific tax rates or rules — you're always in control of the numbers that drive the result.
- Everything runs in your browser. All calculations happen locally on your device. The numbers you enter are never sent to a server, never stored, and never shared.
- Explained, not hidden. Each tool pairs the result with the formula and a short explanation, so the math is open for you to inspect.
An important note
These are estimation and planning tools, intended for general information only. They are not investment recommendations, and they do not predict the future. They do not replace advice from a qualified financial professional who understands your full situation. Always do your own research and consult a professional before making financial decisions.
Who is behind it
Calculators Money is an independent project, part of a small network of focused calculator microsites. The same tools are also available in Portuguese at calculadorasdefinancas.com.br. The site is free to use and is supported by advertising (Google AdSense), which keeps every calculator open to everyone with no login or paywall.
